Horse history's ties with maritime history has recently been brought to my attention when during our exam review my bio-physical oceanography professior mentioned the fun fact that sailors would kill horses around 30 degrees North and South of the equator, now known as the Horse Latitudes. This thought has completely clouded my mind and rather than prepaing for my midterm I have gathered all the information about horse related sailing history I could find.
